The dataset documents the miniterial structure, government types and immigration and asylum numbers in 16 Western European countries from 1997-2017.

The dataset combine data from three sources: Data on the ministerial structure (responsible ministries and ministers) for the integration and immigration field are extracted from the Dataset on Immigrant Integration Governance (DIIG) (Hernes(2020): https://doi.org/10.18710/ZMJLZT). Classifications of governments are extracted from the DIIG, but are originally derived from Parlgov.com. Data on immigration and asylum numbers are from EUROSTAT.
Social Sciencesimmigrationintegrationministerial structurehorizontal governanceEnglishHernes, Vilde: "Policy preferences and ministerial structures: Immigrant integration governance in Western Europe, 1997–2017."
