Abstract: |
<p>The dataset concerns the deliberate learning practices of new venture founders in Norway, as well as a self-evaluation of their expertise in key aspects of entrepreneurship. The methodology used was survey research, and the data were collected through an on-line questionnaire. The dataset consists of a sample of founders from the population of limited-liability firms incorporated in Norway in 2018.</p> |

Sampling Procedure: |
An invitation was sent out to 1,456 firms out of a population of 29,348 new limited-liability firms incorporated in Norway in 2018 (those with a valid e-mail address in Brønnøysundregistrene / Proff Forvalt). After three reminders, 147 completed surveys were received (response rate of 10.1%). Potential non-response bias was analysed using initial financial capital and employment (firm size) of all firms in the population (register data). No statistically significant differences were discovered. |
