Kommunepanel 1945 - 2016https://doi.org/10.18710/O2ZAPJSvalestuen, SigbjørnBuck, MarcusStein, JonasHaugen, Kristian H.Simensen, GauteDataverseNO2017-12-012023-09-28T19:32:51ZThe Kommunepanel dataset includes social, political and economic data on Norwegian municipalities in the time period 1945 to 2016. The dataset is hierarchically structured, containing municipal, county, regional and national data. The municipalities are geocoded on their municipal centres, allowing analysis of spatial correlation structures. Mapping is possible using external shape-files. Additionally, county and regional indicators are available for cross-national regional analysis, identifying units through the European Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics (NUTS). The data are largely based on public data repositories and registries. Combining data on lower levels of analysis, e.g. individuals, companies or public institutions, is encouraged.
The attached dataset is a small subset of the complete dataset and will be updated. The dataset is available as Comma-Separated Values (.csv). Additionally, a travel-time matrix, shape-files, and comparable datasets for other Nordic countries will be published in separate files when appropriate documentation is availble.
