Data on dimensional and geometric accuracy for laser-based powder bed fusion of PA12 (PA2200)https://doi.org/10.18710/DHACHZLeirmo, Torbjørn LangedahlDataverseNO2021-09-022023-09-28T19:04:18ZThis dataset contains measurements of dimensional- and geometric accuracy in laser-based powder bed fusion, with relevant background data. The experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of part build orientation on the dimensional- and geometric accuracy. The experiment was conducted at NTNU in Gjøvik where 135 specimens were produced over 3 builds alongside 372 additional parts not included in the main study. An elaborate build layout was designed to enable analysis of part position as well as orientation in the build chamber. An EOSINT P395 machine was used with a 50/50 blend of virgin and recycled PA12 polymer powder (PA2200 provided by EOS). The specimens were measured in a Zeiss Duramax coordinate measuring machine for minimum measurement error.EngineeringAdditive ManufacturingTolerance engineeringAccuracyPA12Selective Laser SinteringLaser-based powder bed fusionLeirmo, T.
