Abstract: |
The contents here include data and analysis scripts in MATLAB used to produce the figures of the the manuscript "An improved method for determining near-surface currents from wave dispersion measurments," submitted to the Journal of Geophysical Research: Oceans, April, 2019. Data of wave spectra atop various shear flows generated in the laboratory are included, processed from measurements of the free surface gradient in space and time using a synthetic Schlieren method. Also included are measurements of the surface tension, and particle image velocimetry measurements of the streamwise flow as a function of water depth. See the file 00_README.txt for explanation of the contents. |
