Data of wave spectra atop various shear flows generated in the laboratory are included, processed from measurements of the free surface gradient in space and time using a synthetic Schlieren method. Also included are measurements of the surface tension, and particle image velocimetry measurements of the streamwise flow as a function of water depth.
