Replication Data for: A new method to inference the size, number density, and charge of mesospheric dust from its in situ collection by the DUSTY probehttps://doi.org/10.18710/LEMXBUHavnes, OveAntonsen, TarjeiBaumgarten, GerdHartquist, TomBiebricher, AlexanderFredriksen, ÅshildFriedrich, MartinHedin, JonasDataverseNO2018-05-242023-09-28T22:11:06ZContains replication data for figures in: "A new method to inference the size, number density, and charge of mesospheric dust from its in situ collection by the DUSTY probe".
On The Rocket Data:
BP.txt contains the bottomplate current and height vector.
G2.txt contains the Grid 2 current and height vectors. Ambient current is subtracted.
The data can be used to reproduce all figures.
Column 1 is Height in km.
Column 2 is net current in nano amperes(nA).
On the FARADAY ROTATION DATA:
The electron densities are presented in .CSV-files.
'ne_faraday_MXD1' gives the values, and 'height_faraday_MXD1' gives the height in km.
On the LIDAR DATA: The lidar backscatter data is split into height ('Height_RMR_XXX.txt') and value ('RMR_XXX.txt') vectors. There is one set of vectors along the orbit and one set for the vertical direction.Physicsmesospheric dustsize distributionNLCice particlessizes of dust particlesnanoparticles in the mesosphereoptical measurementsdustyEnglishHavnes, O., Antonsen, T., Baumgarten, G., Hartquist, T.
