on a flat steel plate were conducted in order to demonstrate a novel approach to reconstruct full-field pressure distributions on said plate using the virtual fields method (VFM).\nPressure was applied using SIMLab Shock Tube Facility at the Department of Structural Engineering, NTNU specialized on blast wave generation.\nDeflectometry was used to measure time-resolved slope changes on the plate surface. \nBackground Oriented Schlieren was used to visualize the approaching blast wave.\nThe shock tube exit was modified with 3 different blockages to change the symmetry of the generated blast waves.</p>\n<p>Pressure transducer measurements were conducted to compare the VM pressure reconstructions to an established technique.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>This dataset contains the experimental
